Repair Work Prompts Schedule Changes for Ukrzaliznytsia’s Suburban Trains

Temporary Adjustments to Suburban Train Services

According to Главком: Ukrzaliznytsia has announced temporary modifications to suburban train schedules and routes due to maintenance work across several regions of Ukraine. These changes affect various dates in May and June. Additionally, starting May 12, the railway operator began offering ticket sales for suburban trains through its mobile app, updated its refund policies, and introduced a dynamic pricing system on April 25.

Schedule and Route Adjustments

The temporary schedule changes will impact several trains. Specifically:

• From May 15 to 17, the schedule for train No. 6212 Koziatyn-1 – Fastiv-1 will be altered;
• Between May 15 and 24, as well as from May 26 to June 1, train No. 6202 Koziatyn-1 – Fastiv-1 will also see a revised timetable;
• On May 21, the schedule for train No. 6438 Ivano-Frankivsk – Kolomyia will change;
• From May 24 to June 3, train No. 6205 Rozdilna-1 – Odesa will operate on a new schedule;
• Train No. 6255 Vapniarka – Odesa-Holovna will now terminate at Ivanivka;
• From May 25 to June 6, the schedule for train No. 6252 Odesa-Holovna – Vapniarka will be adjusted.

Route changes are also planned. Train No. 6321 on the Liubotyn – Ohultsi route will have a modified itinerary on May 22, 25–29, and June 1–5, 8–12. Meanwhile, train No. 6912 Liubotyn – Ohultsi will be suspended on those same dates.

Ukrzaliznytsia also noted that as of May 12, tickets for suburban trains are available for purchase nationwide through its mobile app. The company highlighted that refund rules have been updated with a progressive scale for domestic routes. Since April 25, Ukrzaliznytsia has been selling train tickets under a new dynamic pricing system.

“We ask passengers to check the official Ukrzaliznytsia website in advance for any changes to the schedule or route of their desired train,” company representatives said.

These schedule changes are driven by essential repair work needed to maintain Ukraine’s railway infrastructure.
