The government approved public oversight of ARMA: who and how will monitor confiscated assets

According to Мін. Економіки: In addition, the Council will involve the public in the process of shaping the strategic goals and objectives of ARMA. Organizing discussions with the public and reporting to it on the implementation of the mission and tasks will also fall under the competence of the Council.

Such steps by the Ukrainian government indicate its intention to strengthen the role of citizens in overseeing ARMA's activities and to increase the level of public trust in this agency. The successful work of the Public Oversight Council can become an important step in the fight against corruption and the management of assets obtained from crime.
