Specifically, four independent directors along with one state representative have been let go.

- Oleh Terletskyi
- Steven Laird Walsh
The state representative Vitalii Kushnirov has also had his authority revoked. The government plans to announce new appointments and hold a competitive selection process to form an updated supervisory board.
It is worth noting that the supervisory board recently selected Bohdan Sukhetskyi as the company's general director. Sukhetskyi, who brings over 16 years of experience in the energy sector, had been serving as acting general director since May 2025 and previously held the role of deputy general director for commercial operations. In a related move, the government also appointed a renewed supervisory board for Naftogaz of Ukraine based on a proposal from the nomination committee.
These changes at Ukrhydroenergo reflect the government's push to refresh the company's leadership as part of broader reforms in Ukraine's energy sector. The decision carries added weight given the pressing need for effective management of the country's energy resources amid ongoing challenges and infrastructure modernization requirements. The upcoming board appointments are expected to improve governance practices and attract further investment into the energy industry.
