According to hvylya.net: A scandal has erupted in Estonia related to espionage for the FSB. Pavel Kapustin, a Russian citizen living in Narva, has been sentenced to 6.5 years in prison. Furthermore, he had property worth 90,000 euros seized, reports ERR.

The accused provided the FSB with various information, including details about the dismantling of the 'T-34 Tank' monument in Narva, as well as the sentiments of Narva residents regarding the mutiny orchestrated by the head of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, against the Russian leadership, noted prosecutor Triinu Oleva-Aas.

In addition to espionage, Kapustin was involved in the illegal transfer of sanctioned goods from the EU to Russia, such as luxury items, alcohol, and electronics. According to the investigation, he also passed information about infrastructure at the border and other aspects of interest to the FSB.

According to the state prosecutor, even small pieces of information can be used against the country, and collaboration with Russian intelligence services is considered a criminal offense. The KaPo actively warns citizens about recruitment at the border and advises against trips to Russia.
