Frosts expected in Ukraine: meteorologists warn of danger

According to glavcom.ua: Meteorologists warn of hazardous meteorological phenomena in Ukraine. This is reported by 'Glavkom' citing the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.

On the night of October 15, frosts on the soil surface of 0-3°C are expected in the southern, central, eastern regions and Sumy oblast.

Also, on the night of October 16, frosts on the soil surface of 0-3°C are expected in the eastern and southeastern parts, and on the night of October 17 in the eastern regions. The danger level is yellow.

It should be noted that on Wednesday, October 15, overcast weather with clearings is expected in Ukraine, with light rain in some regions. No significant precipitation is expected in Ukraine, only light rain in the northeastern part of the country during the day. In Transcarpathia, there will be fog in some places at night and in the morning.

It should be emphasized that this week typical autumn weather will prevail in Ukraine, characterized by moderate daytime temperatures and cool nights. No significant precipitation is expected over most of the territory, but slight rains and the first night frosts are possible in the west and north.

It was reported that according to observations from the united hydrometeorological station in Kyiv, meteorological autumn arrived in the capital on September 24, starting a week later than the climatic norm.

The meteorologists' warning about possible frosts on the soil surface in certain regions of Ukraine suggests the onset of the autumn period and the importance of preparing agricultural lands for adverse weather conditions.
