The minimum subsistence level will increase in 2026: new amounts for pensions and salaries
New amounts by categories:
Starting from January 2026, the minimum subsistence level in Ukraine will increase for the first time in two years. The average amount will be 3,209 hryvnias per person compared to the current 2,920 hryvnias.
- Children up to 6 years: 2817 UAH (previously 2563 UAH)
- Children from 6 to 18 years: 3512 UAH (previously 3196 UAH)
- Working-age citizens: 3328 UAH (previously 3028 UAH)
- Persons who have lost their ability to work: 2595 UAH (previously 2361 UAH)
Minimum pension
Due to the increase in the minimum subsistence level, the minimum pension will increase by 234 hryvnias and will amount to 2595 hryvnias. Additionally, in March 2026, there will be a traditional indexation of pensions taking inflation into account.
Pensions for disability
The government has allocated a record 1.27 trillion hryvnias for pension provision (123.4 billion more than in 2025), which will allow for a review of the amounts for disability payments.
New coefficients for disabilities resulting from the war:
- Group I: 100% of the age pension
- Group II: 80%
- Group III: 60%
