Equipment upgrade for 'Okhmatdyt' hospital
The National Children's Specialized Hospital 'Okhmatdyt' has received new medical equipment worth 140 million hryvnias to replace damaged equipment resulting from a missile strike.
According to Health Minister Viktor Lyashko, this equipment was purchased by Warren Buffett's foundation, one of the donors for the hospital's restoration. 'Buffett's foundation has committed to restoring the hospital's technical base by providing modern equipment to replace the damaged ones,' the minister said during a television broadcast.
'As for the damaged equipment, Buffett's foundation immediately proposed to compile a list of the damaged equipment, which they will purchase and deliver to the hospital.'
Lyashko emphasized that the total cost of the destroyed equipment exceeded 400 million hryvnias. The American foundation has committed not only to restoring the equipment but also to supplying more modern equipment, which is already being used in the hospital.
International support and modernization
New equipment worth over 140 million hryvnias has already been installed. Medical staff positively assesses the quality of the new technology, which allows for better medical care for children.
The restoration of 'Okhmatdyt' has become a symbol of support for Ukraine from the international community and a demonstration of the response to Russia's military actions. Thanks to donor assistance, the hospital is not only restoring its operations but also improving the quality of medical care for Ukrainian children.
