Russia modernized guided bombs: how Ukraine plans to neutralize them

According to glavcom.ua: Russia is modernizing its guided bombs by equipping them with jet engines to increase their range. Military expert Igor Romanenko emphasized the importance of fighting not only the bombs themselves but also their carriers.

According to him, the problem of Russia's guided bombs has existed for the last two years, and the new modernization with a jet engine has significantly increased their flight range, which previously was 70-90 kilometers.

«This is a serious threat. Together with our allies, we are working on means to combat guided bombs and drones, and we plan to complete the project by the end of this year», the expert emphasized.

He also noted that effective defense lies in destroying the carriers of guided bombs, for which long-range missile systems or fighters with 'air-to-air' missiles are needed.

As a result of modernizing its guided bombs with jet engines, Russia has become a potential serious threat to security, and military specialists together with allies are working on measures to counter this threat.
