Vinnitsia City Court Delivers Verdict

According to Главком: A court in Vinnitsia has sentenced a man to 12 years in prison for collaborating with an aggressor state. The individual was convicted of signing a contract with the Russian Federation's occupation administration on temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory. Under the terms of this agreement, he provided vehicle maintenance and supplied spare parts for the occupation authorities' transport. This case is part of Ukraine's broader legal crackdown on collaboration since Russia's full-scale invasion began in 2022.

The court found the defendant guilty under Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. In addition to the prison term, he has been barred from holding positions in law enforcement, government, or local self-government bodies for 15 years, and his property has been confiscated. The sentence is not yet final and can be appealed.

Separate Case from Kherson

In a related development, a Kherson resident named Iryna has been convicted under Part 3 of Article 114 of Ukraine's Criminal Code (espionage) and sentenced to 11 years in prison. Her crimes included disclosing the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and knitting socks for Russian soldiers. She is currently serving a 2-year sentence.

These verdicts illustrate the severe approach of the Ukrainian legal system towards individuals who cooperate with occupation authorities. Such exemplary punishments for crimes against the state are intended to serve as a deterrent to potential collaborators. As the conflict with Russia continues, Ukrainian courts are rigorously enforcing laws designed to protect national security and wartime legal order.
