Support for Children in Care: Who Receives Thousands of Hryvnias Every Month

The Ukrainian state program for supporting orphans and children deprived of parental care provides financial assistance for 12 months for children who find themselves without parental care and guardianship. This program is an important source of support for the most vulnerable children.

According to the Pension Fund, the right to receive assistance is granted to orphans and those deprived of parental care due to various circumstances, including the death of parents, serious illness, deprivation of parental rights, etc.

Specific conditions are provided for children with disabilities, while payments may be made until the end of the term indicated in the medical conclusion.

Amount of Assistance

• Children up to 6 years old - 6,407.50 UAH
• Children from 6 to 18 years old - 7,990.00 UAH

In addition, children with disabilities are entitled to increased payments.

Reasons for Stopping Payments

Payments may be suspended in case of The Guardian or caregiver being released from duties, the employment of the child, their marriage before reaching adulthood, adoption, etc.
