Inter's goalkeeper Martinez involved in car accident: 81-year-old man died

The accident involving the goalkeeper occurred on the morning of Tuesday, September 28, in the commune of Fenegro in the province of Como.

The car driven by Martinez hit an 81-year-old man in an electric wheelchair. Despite the intervention of emergency services, including an ambulance, the victim died at the scene. Inter's goalkeeper was not injured but was in a state of shock.

According to preliminary reports, the elderly man may have felt unwell, which caused him to suddenly change direction and enter the road where Martinez's car was driving.

It is also reported that Martinez attempted to assist the victim. The footballer is cooperating with law enforcement for the investigation into the causes of the incident.
