Over 200 Young People to Gather in Bukovel for 'Iron Shift' International Summit
Fifth Stage of the 'Iron Shift' Project Launches
According to МЗС: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways), and the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development have announced the launch of the fifth stage of the 'Iron Shift' project for children. This international summit will take place in May 2026 in Bukovel, located in the Ukrainian Carpathians, and will welcome over 200 children from Ukraine and abroad. Participation in the event is free of charge. This initiative is part of broader efforts to support Ukrainian youth affected by the ongoing war.
Established in 2022, the 'Iron Shift' project has already brought together more than 8,000 Ukrainian teenagers. The fifth international summit, scheduled to run from May 01 to May 07, 2026, aims to provide health improvement, psychological support for Ukrainian children, nurture talented youth, and foster patriotic education. Eligible participants are children aged 14 to 16 residing in EU countries, the USA, Canada, Turkey, Moldova, and the United Kingdom.
Summit Registration and Program
Registration for the summit will remain open until April 12, 2026. To apply, participants must complete a form on the project's website and upload a motivational video. The summit's planned activities include:
- meetings with politicians, business leaders, artists, athletes, and bloggers;
- training sessions;
- discussion clubs;
- educational workshops;
- sports activities;
- mountain hikes.
Meeting hubs for participants will be located in Warsaw, Poland, and Budapest, Hungary.
