The salary for reservation in 2027 may increase to UAH 28,638

If the Verkhovna Rada approves the minimum wage at UAH 9,546, the salary threshold for most critically important enterprises could rise to UAH 28,638 per month. How the salary threshold for reservation may change

The draft state budget for 2027 provides for an increase in the minimum wage from UAH 8,647 to UAH 9,546. According to the current rule for most enterprises that confirm the status of critically important, the salary criterion consists of three minimum wages.

In 2026, this is UAH 25,941. If the new minimum wage is approved, the threshold will be UAH 28,638 - UAH 2,697 more. This means that the calculated amount, from which the salary criterion depends, will change.

This is not a payment to the state for each reserved employee. The salary indicator is one of the criteria for the criticality of the enterprise. Requirements for such status have already changed: in particular, the government updated the criteria for reservation.

What amounts may apply for enterprises in frontline areas

For enterprises in territories of possible or active hostilities, a lower coefficient is provided - 2.5 minimum wages. This is currently UAH 21,618, and with a minimum wage of UAH 9,546, the threshold may be UAH 23,865 per month.

These amounts will only become final after the budget is adopted and provided that the government does not change the rules before the beginning of 2027. The bill was registered in the Verkhovna Rada on September 15, and it is still under review.

Therefore, employers should currently perceive the new thresholds as a forecast, not as a current requirement. Their size depends on the approved minimum wage: the draft budget proposes to increase it in 2027.
