The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Implements Gender Equality: What Will Change for Women in the Police
According to МВС: The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Kateryna Pavlichenko, participated in the conference 'Women for Security 2025' in Chisinau. She emphasized the importance of implementing UN Security Council Resolution 1325 'Women, Peace, Security' for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, pointing out the necessity of creating equal conditions in all structures and forming a new culture of thinking.
Kateryna Pavlichenko discussed measures already being taken in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, such as gender-sensitive management, staff training, and improving legislation, highlighting the importance of international cooperation in these matters.
Particular attention was paid by the speaker to creating equal opportunities for women and men in all structures, integrating the gender component into various areas of policy, and implementing mechanisms to protect against discrimination.
'In the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, we consistently implement the principles of Resolution 1325: we create equal opportunities for women and men in all services, ensure gender-sensitive management, train staff, improve legislation, implement mechanisms to protect against discrimination, and integrate the gender component into human resources, budget, and educational policies.'
Kateryna Pavlichenko also expressed gratitude to Moldova and the Ministry of Internal Affairs for their active leadership on gender equality and security policy development.
Kateryna Pavlichenko's participation in the conference and support for the initiatives of Resolution 1325 testify to the competence and maneuvering of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, which strives for equality and security for all citizens, regardless of their gender.
