Zelensky signed a law on reservation: who will now be protected from mobilization
Changes in labor relations during martial law
In the context of the ongoing war and growing needs of the front, the Ukrainian authorities continue to adapt mobilization rules to ensure the stability of defense and critical infrastructure. President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a law that changes the organization of labor relations during martial law and expands the mechanism of temporary reservation of conscripts.
The document allows critical infrastructure enterprises and the defense industry to temporarily reserve men even in the absence of military registration documents or if they are wanted by territorial recruitment centers.
Restrictions on temporary reservation
The new rules provide for the possibility of reservation for a period of up to 45 days from the moment of signing the employment contract. During this time, employees must bring their military documents in order, and in case of non-compliance with the requirements, the employer has the right to terminate the agreement. The law limits the application of the mechanism, specifying that temporary reservation can be granted no more than once a calendar year for each employee.
