- 16 Russian citizens;

- 19 Iranian nationals;
- 11 Iranian firms;
- 7 Sudanese individuals.
The restrictions apply to businesses registered in Russia, Belarus, the United Arab Emirates, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Inside the EU’s 20th Sanctions Package
The EU’s 20th sanctions package covers more than 120 individuals and organizations. According to the latest NSDC ruling, sanctioned entities include UAE-based companies that supplied industrial machinery, laboratory equipment, chemical products, and aviation spare parts. Among the targeted enterprises are:
- a major oil exporter in Belarus;
- manufacturers of electronic warfare systems;
- software developers;
- oil, gas, and gold mining companies.
Additionally, the sanctions list includes LLC 'Atlant Aero', a producer of aerospace products and drone components, as well as LLC 'Irz-Svyaz', a firm specializing in military communication systems and components for cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. Personal sanctions have also been imposed against prosecutor Lyudmila Balandina, judge Dmitry Gordeev, and TV host and propagandist Maria Sittel.
The restrictions further target 19 Iranian citizens and 11 Iranian companies involved in Tehran’s programs for developing, manufacturing, and transferring ballistic missiles and kamikaze drones to Russia, along with 7 Sudanese nationals linked to military-technical cooperation with the Kremlin.
Vladyslav Vlasiuk, commenting on the new measures, stated: 'We continue to synchronize our sanctions regimes with the EU and our partners. We expect further pressure on Russia and all those who help sustain its aggression. We are finalizing joint work on the next rounds of EU and partner sanctions, including the 21st package.'
These new sanctions represent a critical step in Ukraine’s and its allies’ efforts to counter Russian aggression and enhance regional security. Aligning with European sanctions underscores the international community’s unity in addressing violations of international law. Continued work on additional sanctions packages signals a firm intention to escalate pressure on nations supporting the Kremlin’s hostile actions.
In light of these recent sanctions, it is important to understand the broader context of Ukraine's ongoing efforts to combat aggression. For instance, Zelenskyy's previous measures against individuals showcase a continuous strategy aimed at crippling entities that support hostile activities. This historical perspective highlights the significance of the current sanctions aligned with the EU's latest package.
