Ukraine has cleared 16,000 hectares of land: how to receive compensation

According to hvylya.net: Ukraine, together with international partners, is actively addressing the issue of demining agricultural lands to ensure food security. The state compensation program for the cost of demining agricultural lands is financed as part of Ukraine's Financial Support Plan from the European Union.

During the operation of the program, the Humanitarian Demining Center has signed several contracts for demining a significant area of agricultural land. In the current month, 370 hectares of land have been cleared and 5 agreements have been made with demining operators. The average cost of demining land in October was 58.8 thousand UAH/hectare.

The government has also expanded the scope of the state compensation program to households, allowing individuals and self-employed in the agricultural sector to apply for demining through the State Agrarian Register or local authorities.

At the annual conference on demining activities in Ukraine-2025, partner countries such as Belgium, Italy, and the Netherlands promised to support humanitarian demining with over 80 million dollars. Japan also announced a new support package for the long-term reconstruction of Ukraine.

Ukraine, in cooperation with international partners, is developing and implementing a program for demining agricultural lands, for which financial support is provided by the European Union. Through this program, more than 370 hectares of land have been cleared and several contracts have been signed with demining operators. Such measures will contribute to the safety and development of agriculture in Ukraine.
