Ukrainians are prohibited from withdrawing 6500 hryvnias in cash: who will receive winter support

The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, provided explanations regarding the receipt and use of financial assistance 'Winter Support' in the amount of 6500 hryvnias. This program was launched at the beginning of November for the most vulnerable segments of the population.

One-time assistance can be received by minors, persons with disabilities, internally displaced persons, low-income families, and pensioners who receive a care allowance. The money is automatically credited to the Diya Card or a special account, but cannot be withdrawn in cash or transferred to other cards.

The received amount can only be spent within 180 days on purchasing clothing, footwear, and medications. The unused part must be returned to the Pension Fund within three working days after the expiration of the term. Thus, 'Winter Support' will be an important resource for Ukrainians during the winter period, which should be used in accordance with the established rules and restrictions.
