Mobile communication may be restricted in Ukraine: what to expect for subscribers
Ukrainians may face changes in the field of mobile communication. This was stated by military radio technology expert Sergey 'Flash' Bezkrisny.
According to him, it is about the introduction of new rules for the provision of services by communication operators, rather than a complete ban. He pointed to measures that Russia is already implementing, including restrictions on foreign SIM cards. They may only allow voice calls for 24 hours without data access.
'What is Russia afraid of? A repetition of the Pavutin operation, when hundreds of drones were controlled via LTE and attacked military targets,' emphasized 'Flash'.
In addition, Russia is considering the possibility of establishing similar rules for SIM cards that have not used the network for 72 hours.
Earlier, ZDF explained that the dispute over Pokrovsk could have serious consequences.
The expert's comments underscore the possibility of changes in the field of mobile communication in Ukraine, which could be significant for national security and defense capabilities of the country. These new rules introduced in Russia may serve as a precedent for similar measures in other countries, including Ukraine. It is clear that such restrictions could become an important element in managing risks and protecting national interests in the digital space.
