Targets Struck in Occupied Territories
According to Главком: The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed the successful targeting of several key military objectives in temporarily occupied territories during February 2026. These strikes are part of ongoing efforts to degrade enemy capabilities. The confirmed targets include:
- An S-300VM anti-aircraft missile system
- Command and control posts for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)
- Areas where enemy military forces were concentrated
Operations on February 17-18, 2026
On February 17, 2026, Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a launcher from an S-300VM anti-aircraft missile system in the Mariupol area. That same day, a UAV command post was hit near the settlement of Salne in the Kursk region, and another enemy UAV command post was struck near the city of Rodynske in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk Oblast.
The following day, February 18, Ukrainian forces targeted a UAV unit concentration area near the settlement of Trudove in the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region, as well as a UAV workshop near Tokmak. Also on the 18th, a communications node was struck near Staromlynivka in occupied Donetsk Oblast, and a concentration of military equipment was hit in occupied Donetsk city.
According to the General Staff, during the first month of 2026, engineering units of the Support Forces eliminated nearly 700 invaders and destroyed over a hundred pieces of enemy equipment. These actions demonstrate the continuation of active combat operations and the efforts of Ukrainian forces to degrade enemy military potential in the occupied territories.
These events occur within the context of the ongoing war in Ukraine, now in its fourth year. Strikes on key enemy military assets highlight an intensification of Ukrainian operations aimed at countering threats from occupying forces. Such precision strikes can significantly impact the battlefield by hindering the enemy's air defense coverage and its ability to coordinate drone operations, which have become a central feature of the conflict.
