The Armed Forces of Ukraine will open an Instructor School: how this will change military training

Instructor School of the Armed Forces: a new training system
Навчальний центр військових інструкторів: нові можливості для підготовки солдатів України.

The Armed Forces will soon start the work of the Instructor School. Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskiy announced this during a monthly meeting on personnel training.

'Its establishment will significantly enhance the training level of the instructional staff and will serve as a platform for accumulating and sharing relevant combat experience,' Syrskiy noted on social media.

The creation of the specialized school is part of a comprehensive reform of the training system for Ukrainian military personnel. The command has already extended the duration of basic military training from 30 to 51 days, enriching it with modern elements: countering enemy drones of various types, using EW, and tactical medicine.

New approaches to training in the Armed Forces

Particular attention at the meeting was paid to staffing educational centers with professional instructors who have combat experience. The training of sergeants was discussed separately, focusing on developing leadership qualities. The duration of training in this area is increasing and the 'Leadership' course program is expanding.

'The changing nature of the war requires a strong corps of junior commanders,' the commander explained.

Active work continues on preparing squad commanders, allowing for the exchange of combat experience and rapid adaptation to changes in the battlefield environment. Syrskiy emphasized the inadmissibility of involving instructors in performing other tasks unrelated to the training of units. 'Quality, professional training of soldiers requires full commitment,' he stated.

During the meeting in the Armed Forces, the start of the Instructor School's activities was announced, which will open new opportunities for enhancing the level of military training and exchanging combat experience. Also important is the emphasis on developing leadership qualities among sergeants and the need for complete commitment during training.
