Zoomers are ready to get back to exes for money: what a study on love showed
The dating service Tawkify conducted an interesting study, discovering that financial status has a significant impact on relationships between people, especially across different generations. In particular, the younger Generation Z showed interesting approaches to assessing financial stability in partners.
Money is seen as a symbol of security and freedom, so it’s unsurprising that one in three Generation Z members considers the possibility of returning to an ex-partner if they become wealthy. However, this is not just about the money in the bank account, but about the psychological aspects of wealth and confidence that the same mistakes won't occur again.
According to a representative of Tawkify, finances play a significant role in building relationships between people, and older generations also do not overlook the question of their partner's financial stability.
- 46% of Zoomers would refuse to start a relationship with an unemployed person.
- Half of Generation Z stated that they do not want to date unemployed individuals.
- 54% of Generation Z members would choose 'magical relationships without money'.
- Some Zoomers cannot afford to spend money on dates, so they are actively looking for budget-friendly date options.
The study interestingly revealed that financial aspects play a major role in partner selection and relationship development, especially for the youth. Financial stability can be as important as feelings of love and shared values.
