114 ветеранів отримали нові спеціальності в Україні: що це означає для розвитку транспортної галузі.

In Kyiv, a presentation took place on the results of a pilot project for training and employment of veterans in the field of transport and logistics, which started in July. The initiative aims to support veterans in acquiring new professions and finding jobs in this sector.

During the event, participants discussed current issues in the labor market, adaptation tools, practices for supporting veterans in business, as well as obstacles and opportunities for their employment and business development.

“Transport and logistics are vital sectors that support the economy today. However, it faces a labor shortage, while veterans need new professions. This project combines two important national priorities: support for the military and the development of the transport and logistics sector. It is encouraging that almost all participants received certificates after training. This is a testament to the responsibility and efforts of all parties involved in this process.”

According to the Deputy Minister for Community Development Serhiy Derkach, 114 participants successfully completed their training as part of the project. Among them are truck drivers, logisticians, and forklift drivers. The initiative received support from the government, NGOs, businesses, and experts.

The pilot project was proposed by the Foundation for Institutional Development and the Ministry for Community Development and Territories of Ukraine as part of the Veteran Reintegration Program, supported by IREX with the assistance of the U.S. State Department.

As part of the pilot project, veterans acquired new professions and had the opportunity to work in the transport and logistics sector thanks to the support of the government and project partners. The results of the initiative demonstrate the success of this collaborative effort in supporting veterans in their return to civilian life.
