According to ХВИЛЯ: The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has issued a yellow-level danger alert for the entire country on January 25, warning of hazardous road conditions. This alert is due to expected complex weather, including snowfall and the formation of ice glaze. The day will be predominantly cloudy, with light snow anticipated across most regions. Yellow is the second of three alert levels, indicating conditions that require public caution.

Regional Forecast Breakdown

Moderate snowfall is forecast overnight in the Precarpathian region and during the day in central areas. In southern and western Ukraine, snow may mix with rain. The coldest temperatures will be in the northeast and east, with nighttime lows of -12°C to -17°C (10°F to 1°F) and daytime highs of -7°C to -12°C (19°F to 10°F). Elsewhere, expect nighttime temperatures of -8°C to -13°C (18°F to 9°F) and daytime highs of -4°C to -9°C (25°F to 16°F).

The warmest weather is expected in Zakarpattia, Odesa Oblast, and Crimea, where daytime temperatures could reach 1°C to 6°C (34°F to 43°F). Winds will be predominantly southeasterly at 5-10 m/s. The press service of the Hydrometeorological Center warns that these conditions may disrupt energy, construction, and utility services, as well as transport.

Given the yellow alert, drivers and pedestrians should exercise caution, especially in areas forecast for snow and ice.
