Ukrzaliznytsia launches free train rides: who and how will receive tickets
The company 'Ukrzaliznytsia' announced the launch of the program 'UZ 3000', which will allow Ukrainians to travel for free by trains. The pilot stage will start in December and will initially offer free tickets for routes to the front-line territories, later the program will expand to other directions, with the aim of helping the families of servicemen and reducing the burden during peak periods.
Participation in the program is open to all adults and children, the number of free tickets is limited, but it allows parents to issue tickets for children via a mobile app or service centers. In addition, the company plans to receive government support for the implementation of this program in the total amount of over 16 billion hryvnias.
Thus, the program 'UZ 3000' will be an important step in ensuring free transportation for Ukrainians on important routes, as well as supporting domestic tourism and reducing the load on railway transport during peak periods.
