According to УНІАН — Туризм: AirHelp has released its latest worldwide airport ranking for 2026, evaluating airports based on punctuality, infrastructure, and passenger feedback. The ranking draws on insights from over 14,000 travelers across multiple countries and covers 279 airports in 76 nations. It highlights both the top-performing and lowest-rated airports globally. This annual report helps travelers identify which airports offer reliable service and which may fall short.
Top and Bottom Airports
The five most dependable airports in the world are:
- Tokumen Airport
- Pinto Martins – Fortaleza Airport
- Cape Town Airport
- Gilberto Freyre – Recife/Guararapes Airport
- Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek – Brasília Airport
Norway’s Bodo Airport ranked 9th overall, while Denmark’s Billund Airport secured 2nd place in Europe for comfort. Spain’s Bilbao Airport and Norway’s Bergen-Flesland Airport took 3rd and 4th places in Europe, respectively. Istanbul Havalimani Airport ranked 29th worldwide, making it the 5th best in Europe.
On the other end of the spectrum, Lisbon’s Humberto Delgado Airport was ranked 274th globally, with a punctuality score of just 6.3. Rhodes’ Diagoras Airport placed 271st (punctuality 6.5), followed by Heraklion Airport on Crete (268th) and Nice Airport on the French Riviera (267th).
Additionally, AirHelp announced plans for the new Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai, designed to handle up to 260 million passengers annually. The facility will feature 400 boarding gates and five parallel runways, underscoring Dubai’s growing status as a major global aviation hub.
