The incident occurred on the morning of May 30. The athlete was found unconscious with a gunshot wound to the head, still wearing his police uniform. A pistol that had been fired once was lying next to him. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he could not be saved. Police are currently treating the case as a suspected suicide.
