Gripen may be received as early as next year: Shmyhal on strengthening the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The discussions focused on technical cooperation and the possibilities of supplying military equipment. Special emphasis was placed on the potential transfer of modern Gripen aircraft to Ukraine.
'Modern Gripen aircraft will significantly strengthen the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We continue to work on a faster process of transfer and implementation so that these aircraft could be guarding the Ukrainian sky next year,' Shmyhal emphasized.
The receipt of Swedish Gripen aircraft is an important step in implementing the 'Roadmap for developing aviation according to NATO standards', which is a strategic task for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
