Azerbaijan prepares international lawsuit against Russia over AZAL plane crash - Aliyev
According to glavcom.ua: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated that the country is preparing to file an international lawsuit against Russia due to the crash of an Azerbaijani plane. He believes that the Russian side is not providing adequate responses to their questions regarding this incident.
Aliyev noted: 'This is as obvious as God's day.' However, according to him, no specific response has been received from the Russian side in seven months.
Azerbaijan demands acknowledgment of guilt, punishment of those responsible, compensation for the families of the deceased, and reimbursement for AZAL due to the lost plane. Furthermore, Baku is prepared to wait as long as necessary for the investigation of this tragedy.
Audio recording and information about the downed plane
Together with the letter, the editorial staff received a fragment of an audio recording in which a male voice gives the command twice: 'Fire! Fire, I say!', after which a loud explosion is heard and the phrase: 'There is east. Missed. Again. Fire again!' - another voice responds: 'There is fire.'
The letter from a person named Dmitry Sergeevich Paladichuk explained that the plane was shot down on December 25, 2024, near Grozny on the orders of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Traces of air defense missile elements have been found on the aircraft's fuselage, confirming this version.
After the crash of the Azerbaijani plane, which was shot down near Grozny, Azerbaijan is preparing a lawsuit in the international court against Russia. The country's president demands an investigation, acknowledgment of guilt, and compensation for the victims, emphasizing the inadequacy of responses from the Russian side during a seven-month period.
