Problems of developing green energy in Ukraine
According to glavcom.ua: The systemic issue of debts in the electricity market and the lack of guaranteed financing for renewable energy producers (REP) are slowing down the development of green energy in Ukraine. This was reported by the head of the legal committee of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association, Olga Savchenko.
It is necessary to allocate funds for additional financing for REP in advance. There were good examples when funds from the sale of the right to cross-border electricity export, which is received by NEC 'Ukrenergo', were partially distributed for payment to REP. There was an excellent practice of surplus funds in the dispatch tariff and the redistribution of these funds for payment. It seems to me that when there is an opportunity, these mechanisms should be applied again,' said Savchenko.
