Blackout in Ukraine: Can strikes on hydropower plants lead to a complete power outage
According to information from 'Hvylya', a blackout may occur in Ukraine due to strikes on hydropower plants by Russian occupiers. Ihor Stukalenko from the Globalist Center 'Strategy XXI' warned about this potential threat, emphasizing the importance of protecting energy facilities from enemy attacks.
'We experienced this in 2022. We had practically a blackout when power was turned off for a long time for both household and industrial consumers,' Stukalenko said.
The expert warns about the possible realization of a similar situation and calls for measures to ensure the safety of energy facilities. New methods of terrorizing the Ukrainian energy system could lead to a prolonged collapse in the energy supply sector.
Potential Threat of Blackout from Russia
Experts warn of the possibility of a complete blackout in Ukraine due to terrorist actions by Russia against our energy system. Disruption of balance on the Dnipro can have serious consequences for the country, attacking transformer substations and generating capacities.
Russia's attacks on Ukraine's energy system may cause a long-term collapse of energy supply that could last not just a few hours, but could stretch over days or even weeks.
Ukrainians must be prepared for a possible blackout due to attacks on the energy system and take measures to protect energy facilities from enemy assaults.
