Cadillac Unveils Striking New Livery for Miami Grand Prix—Here's What to Know
Miami Grand Prix and Cadillac's Fresh Look
According to Главком: Cadillac has rolled out a special livery for its car ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, scheduled for May 1–3. The design features stars, ribbons, and the word "USA," emphasizing the American roots of the team. Despite the fresh appearance, Cadillac has yet to score any points this championship, with their best result being Valtteri Bottas's 13th-place finish in Shanghai.
The Miami Grand Prix will be the next round of the 2026 season, following the cancellation of races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia due to heightened tensions in the Middle East. Free practice and sprint qualifying are set for May 1, while the sprint race and main qualifying take place on Saturday. The main event will run on Sunday.
Mercedes Leads the Championship
After the Japanese Grand Prix, Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli tops the drivers' standings with 72 points. His closest rivals are:
- George Russell with 63 points
- Charles Leclerc with 49 points
Mercedes also leads the Constructors' Championship with 135 points, while Ferrari holds 90 points. Antonelli won the Chinese Grand Prix, becoming the first Italian in 20 years to win a Formula 1 race, and finished second in the Australian Grand Prix, where Russell took the victory.
“A long-awaited moment. This is what home looks like-the Cadillac team,” said team representatives during the livery reveal.
The next race after Miami will be held in Montreal from May 22 to 24.
The Miami Grand Prix is a key event for Cadillac as they strive to establish themselves in the Formula 1 world, despite still being without points. The race also draws attention due to the cancellations in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, highlighting a shift in the season's schedule. Mercedes' championship lead underscores their strong teamwork and success, setting the stage for fierce competition among top Formula 1 teams.
As the excitement builds for the Miami Grand Prix, fans will be pleased to know that the FIA has announced an extension to the practice sessions, allowing teams more time to fine-tune their strategies.
