Denmark Eases Rules for Foreign Workers
The Danish government proposes to ease businesses' access to foreign labor. According to the new rules, the income threshold for workers from countries outside the European Union will be reduced from 514,000 to 300,000 Danish kroner. In addition, the procedures for hiring foreigners to work in Denmark are expected to be simplified.
'Given the labor shortage in Denmark, international workers have become extremely important for Danish companies and the Danish economy in recent years,' emphasized Jacob Holbraad, the CEO of the Confederation of Danish Employers.
Agreement between Ukraine and Denmark on Joint Production
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced an agreement between Ukraine and Denmark regarding joint production of long-range drones and missiles outside of Ukraine following a meeting with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in The Hague.
During the meeting, the development of joint defense production was discussed, particularly the production of weapons both in Ukraine and Denmark. The agreement includes Denmark allocating €1.26 billion for Ukrainian long-range drone production, marking an important step in the strategic partnership between the countries.
