The agency responsible for military procurement revealed a scheme for supplying low-quality butter for the National Guard of Ukraine. The director of the enterprise planned to supply 250 tons of oil that did not meet standards, worth millions of hryvnias. She made contracts for the delivery of the product using fake warranty documents.
'The defendant, to profit from the counterfeit oil, used fake warranty documents regarding the quality of the product. Under this scheme, the official planned to supply the fighters with 250 tons of poor-quality oil worth tens of millions of hryvnias,' said the DBR.
Currently, the director has been notified of suspicion of fraud and use of forged documents. The issue of selecting a preventive measure for her is being resolved. If convicted, the woman faces up to 12 years in prison with asset confiscation.
The State Bureau of Investigation is taking measures to recover losses to the state caused by violations in military procurement. Other facts of supplying poor-quality products to the military are being checked by the specialized prosecutor's office of the Odesa region.
