DBR announced suspicion against former Ministry of Defense official: losses of 322 million

According to hvylya.net: The State Bureau of Investigation announced suspicion against the former head of the Department of State Procurement and Supply of Material Resources of the Ministry of Defense. It turned out that during the state of war he caused losses of 322 million hryvnias due to excessive payments during the conclusion of contracts.

'The investigation established that during the state of war, the official, when concluding and executing two contracts for the supply of water for defense needs, made excessive payments to several companies. As a result, the Ministry of Defense suffered damage of over 322 million UAH', - reported the DBR.

According to the report, the former official from the State Procurement Department of the Ministry of Defense has been notified of suspicion of negligent attitude towards military service, which carries the status of part 4 of article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For this, he may face up to 8 years in prison. Pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

It is important to identify and stop such violations, as they not only represent financial losses for defense but also pose a threat to the country's security as a whole.
