DBR uncovers corruption in a military unit: the state has suffered losses of 500 thousand

The head of the financial service of a military unit in Kyiv region has been exposed for illegal payments. Employees of the State Bureau of Investigations, in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine, found that the officer continued to allocate monetary provisions for those who had already left the army.

According to the Bureau, as a result of his actions, the state lost nearly 500 thousand hryvnias.

For a year after the dismissal of two military personnel, he did not leave a good cash flow to their accounts, which led to significant losses from the budget. According to the results of the examination, the state has suffered losses of almost half a million hryvnias.

The head of the financial service has been warned of suspicion for negligence in office, causing significant harm under martial law.

The sanction of the article provides for up to 8 years of imprisonment.

As a result of the investigation, it was found that the official committed a serious violation that led to significant financial losses for the state. Such cases undermine trust in military structures and pose a threat to the national security of the country.
