Deficit on order: Popenko revealed who profits from the bills of Ukrainians for electricity
Штраф у розмірі мільйона застосували до компанії Tynny: за які порушення?

The National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Utilities is set to fine the company LLC 'Energia-1' 1 million UAH for overcharging prices for balancing electricity during peak consumption periods. This company is associated with businessman Ihor Tynny.

The head of the Consumers' Union of Utility Services, Oleg Popenko, claims that the 'electricity market' does not operate by the rules due to manipulations. In his opinion, the fine is just the latest confirmation of this.

Here it is - the 'electricity market', which does not operate by the rules. When the market is not regulated by laws, it is regulated by manipulations. And here is another proof - NERC plans to impose a fine of 1 million UAH on the company LLC 'Energia-1', which is associated with businessman Tynny.

The regulator established that the company was shutting down electricity applications during periods of maximum load, creating an artificial deficit. This concerned certain hours when the system was operating at the limit of its capabilities.

  • 10 PM - 11 PM and 11 PM - 12 AM on November 1
  • 6 PM - 7 PM on November 2
  • 6 PM - 7 PM and 11 PM - 12 AM on November 3

Popenko noted that such manipulations are the result of a lack of transparent rules in the electricity market in Ukraine.

The scale of the problem in the electricity market may be significantly larger

The expert points out that this case with the company associated with Ihor Tynny is just one of many. The problem may be broader, especially considering the activity of regional energy companies and traders with connections in the energy sector.

Ihor Tynny, a known businessman, controls a number of companies in 'green energy' and has a significant stake in this sector. He also owns real estate, restaurants, waste evacuation businesses, and sewing manufacturing.
