At dawn on July 26, information emerged about a drone raid in the Stavropol region of Russia. According to reports from monitoring channels, drones struck the Stavropol radio plant 'Signal', informs 'Glavkom'.
The radio plant is one of the largest enterprises in the radio-electronic complex of southern Russia. The Stavropol radio plant 'Signal' produces a wide range of radio electronic products, including equipment for digital television, electricity metering and distribution devices, as well as equipment for cathodic protection against corrosion and for the oil industry.
In addition, the plant specializes in the development and production of radio electronic equipment for special purposes, particularly for aviation and electronic countermeasures. In 1993, the plant began mass production of domestic protective shutdown devices (RCD) for the first time in the country.
Details of this attack and possible reasons remain unknown and are currently under investigation. Such events highlight potential threats to industrial facilities from unauthorized drones and the need for improving protective measures.
