Assistance 'єYasla' in Ukraine

According to Главком: Since January 1, 2023, a law supporting families with children has come into force in Ukraine, approving the procedure for providing assistance 'єYasla'. This program provides monthly financial assistance for families with children aged from one to three years.

Amount of assistance

Assistance 'єYasla' provides for monthly financial support of 8 thousand hryvnias for families where the mother or another legal representative returns to work after the child reaches one year of age. For families raising a child with a disability, the amount of state assistance will be 12 thousand hryvnias per month.

The recipient of this assistance can be the mother or another legal representative of the child aged from one to three years. Families can use this assistance to pay for:

  • services of private preschool institutions;
  • services of individual entrepreneurs;
  • paid services in municipal and state institutions.

To receive the payment, certain documents must be submitted. These include:

  • identification document;
  • registration number of the taxpayer's card (RNOCPP);
  • birth certificate of the child;
  • copy of the order to return to work.

Additionally, starting from January 1, 2026, a new procedure for state assistance payments upon the birth of a child will be introduced in Ukraine, which indicates continued support for families in the country.

Legislative changes concerning assistance 'єYasla' aim to ease the financial burden on young families and encourage parents to return to work. This initiative is part of a broader state strategy for supporting family policies and developing infrastructure for child-rearing. The introduction of new payment procedures in 2026 also indicates the government's intentions to continue supporting families in Ukraine amid economic challenges.
