Ukraine After the Massive Attack: Which Regions Are Experiencing Power Outages

Energy workers have managed to restore part of the damaged equipment, allowing the continuation of the power restoration process for consumers on the left bank of Kyiv. This was reported by the publication ‘Glavkom’ citing ‘Ukrenergo’.

Emergency Outages Due to the Attack and Restriction Measures

Currently, in Kyiv, Kyiv Region, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kirovohrad regions, as well as in Zaporizhzhia – forced emergency outages are being implemented for industrial consumers. In Chernihiv region, three power outages are being applied simultaneously in the area. The reason for the restrictions in this region is the consequences of Russian attacks on energy facilities.

Massive Attack from Russia

On the night of October 10, the Russian Federation once again attacked the energy infrastructure of Ukraine. The strike came on the anniversary of the first shelling of the energy system that the occupiers started in 2022.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that at night the Russian Federation attacked the Ukrainian energy system with over 450 drones and more than three dozen missiles.

Preparation for Possible Consequences

The Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko urged residents to concentrate and act pragmatically: stock up on water, prepare a first-aid kit, a set of food products, charge portable power devices, and prepare warm clothes. It is also important not to ignore alarm signals.

Ukrainian energy workers managed to restore equipment after the night rocket-drone attack by Russia. The elimination of the consequences of this attack continues in various regions of the country, and the authorities urge residents to be extremely careful and prepare for possible developments.
