FIFA and UEFA rejected the proposal to allow the Russian women's national team

According to glavcom.ua: The information that the Russian women's national team would be quickly allowed to international tournaments under the leadership of FIFA and UEFA turned out to be erroneous. This was stated by the head of the Russian Football Union, Maxim Mitrofanov.

Earlier, a Russian Telegram channel spread information about the possible admission of the Russian women's team to the qualifiers for the 2027 World Cup, but the Secretary General of the RFU stated that currently nothing had changed and work with international sports organizations is proceeding as usual.

«There are no changes yet. We need to ask those who write. But, in general, we are working with UEFA and FIFA, of course, as always», – noted Mitrofanov.

Let us remind you that after the start of Russian aggression against Ukraine in February 2022, the Russian national team and Russian football clubs were excluded from international tournaments.
