Financial Literacy - The Key to Success

Financial literacy is not about "having less fun," but rather about "having more opportunities." No more mindless purchases in the middle of the night or believing that cinnamon coffee will magically increase the numbers in your bank account. A dry calculation and responsibility – clear and safe!

U-Report, together with the National Bank of Ukraine, conducted a survey to learn more about financial habits and understanding of security among youth. The goal is to increase the number of people with financial cushions and reduce the fear of discussing money.

Commandments of Financial Security

Beware of offers to "rent" your card or bank account! Fraudsters use someone else's cards and accounts for illegal activities. Money is transferred through various accounts to hide its origin, while criminals remain in the shadows. The owner of the payment card or bank account in such a scheme becomes an accomplice to the crime, even if they are unaware of it.

Do not disclose your payment card details and monitor the flow of funds in your account. Do not click on links from strangers. On the other hand, if you receive links, always verify their authenticity before clicking on them.

If you become a victim of fraudsters, write a report to the Cyber Police at this link or report your case by calling: 0 800 505 170.

Take care of yourself and your accounts! The survey involved 2828 respondents aged 14-35 who are registered in U-Report chatbots.

Financial literacy and awareness of financial security are important components of a successful financial future. It is crucial to carefully monitor your finances, avoiding potential fraudsters and taking measures to protect your financial data online.
