Khrystyna Soloviy presents the clip Halytsia: references to Irina Bilyk and the image of a bride
Ukrainian singer Khrystyna Soloviy has presented her new track 'Halytsia' along with a video, where she appears in a wedding dress with a veil on her head. This information was spread by 'Hlavcom', referring to the artist's account on social media.
In her song, Khrystyna feels the influence of pop lyrics from the 1990s and acknowledges that her music has been inspired by Irina Bilyk. The image of the bride in the clip has certain associations with the works of this singer, and the video itself is filled with symbols and allusions to iconic videos from previous years.
«The poetic nature of feelings in Irina's songs, her feminine view of the world, naive oddity and chaos. All of this resonates with me deeply. In the video 'Serce', I started quoting her image from the album 'OMA'. In the new video, there are references: a photo from a poster, similar to Bilyk's photoshoot for the album 'Kraína'; the very image of a runaway bride, as in the clip 'Lyubov yod', from the early 2000s. I am very eager to hear the Ukrainian version of this song», - Soloviy revealed.
Soloviy also stated that the song 'Halytsia' is the beginning of her new musical project, which will reflect the musical freedom at the dawn of Ukraine's independence. It should be noted that she has temporarily suspended her touring activities in order to focus on creating new music and traveling.
Ukrainian singer Khrystyna Soloviy has released a new song 'Halytsia' and a video for it, in which she discusses her own musical idealism and mystification, compared to the works of mainland performers. The new composition announces the launch of a unique musical project that immediately embodies the spirit of inspiration and creativity during the initial phase of the country's independence.
