Senator of Italy with the Ukrainian coat of arms
Італійський політик зробив татуювання герба України: розповів про своє рішення.

According to glavcom.ua: The leader of the Italian liberal party 'Action' and senator Carlo Calenda expressed his support for Ukraine by getting a tattoo of the Ukrainian coat of arms on his wrist, reports 'Glavcom'.

The politician published a photo of the tattoo on social media with the caption: 'This tattoo will remain forever'.

Support for Ukraine from Carlo Calenda

Carlo Calenda continuously supports Ukraine in its struggle and calls for providing Kyiv with the necessary resources to counter Russian aggression.

Commenting on his decision, the senator noted for the publication tg.la7: 'I chose Ukraine because Ukrainian guys just a few kilometers away from us are protecting us from the dangerous murderer, Putin, who has plans for Europe. And because I have a personal connection to this country, I have seen them, I know about their courage, and I am happy to support them.'

Previously, in the United States, a scientist named a new species of butterflies in honor of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, who died from a stab wound.

The butterfly called 'Iryna's Azure' was first spotted by researcher Ronald Cattrell in South Carolina back in 1985, but at that time this species of insect did not have an official name.

The news about politician Carlo Calenda's tattoo in support of Ukraine and the naming of the butterfly in honor of a Ukrainian refugee highlights the attention and support that the world is showing to the Ukrainian people in their struggle for independence and security amid the current geopolitical situation. The result of such gestures is raising awareness about the importance of supporting a country that stands on the front line of defending European values.
