AI infiltrated the Cardiff museum: the invisible painting went unnoticed for hours

AI painting in a British museum
Штучний інтелект став невидимою частиною експозиції в музеї Кардіффа, проломивши межі традиційного мистецтва.

According to glavcom.ua: At the National Museum of Cardiff (United Kingdom), an interesting experiment took place when artist Elias Merrow placed a painting created using artificial intelligence on the wall, and for several hours nobody noticed this work. The piece was titled 'Empty Plate' and depicted a boy in a school uniform holding a plate. Merrow explained that this experiment was meant to demonstrate the role of artificial intelligence in defining artistic values.

One of the museum visitors discovered the painting and asked the staff about the origin of the work, but even they could not explain how this happened. Artist Merrow believes that limiting the capabilities of artificial intelligence in the field of art is wrong, as it contradicts the freedom of creativity. This is not the first similar project from Merrow, and we will likely see similar experiments in the future.

This news discusses an artistic experiment in the museum where a painting created by artificial intelligence was placed on the wall and went unnoticed by staff for several hours. This experiment aims to showcase the role of AI in contemporary art and in changing perceptions of creativity.
