Power Outage Strikes Kyiv’s Left Bank After Grid Failure

According to Главком: On June 22, emergency power outages were reported in the Dnipro and Darnytskyi districts of Kyiv. Utility crews are currently working to repair the damage and restore electricity. Residents on the left bank are expected to have power back by approximately 4:00 PM.
The disruption was triggered by an incident at the Odesa Thermal Power Plant, leaving customers in the central part of the city and several transport companies without electricity. As of the morning of June 1, following Russian strikes, parts of eight regions remain without power. Due to hostilities and attacks on energy infrastructure, some consumers in the following areas were temporarily disconnected:
- Dnipropetrovsk
- Zhytomyr
- Zaporizhzhia
- Odesa
- Sumy
- Kherson
- Kharkiv
- Chernihiv regions
These outages highlight the ongoing strain on Ukraine’s power grid amid conflict.
