A Thousand Hydrangeas Planted Along Kyiv’s Lypky Boulevard
Greening Kyiv: New Environmental Initiatives
According to Главком: A thousand panicle hydrangea saplings have been planted along Lypky Boulevard in Kyiv. A blend of hydrangea varieties was selected to ensure a diverse range of flower colors. The blooms will shift their shades throughout the season, enhancing the ornamental appeal of the shrubs. The landscaping team from Pechersk’s KP UZN chose this particular shrub for its long and abundant flowering period, as well as its strong adaptability to urban conditions.
In addition, Kyiv has significantly expanded the number of city areas where grass mowing is restricted this year. There are now 119 such locations, covering a total area of 251 hectares. This initiative aims to improve the city’s ecological situation and support biodiversity.
