According to Главком: Prosecutors have formally notified Kyiv's City Administration of suspicion in a case concerning a failed rotating parking garage project, which resulted in a loss of over 3.6 million hryvnias from the city budget. The suspicion targets a former first deputy director of the Department of Transport Infrastructure, who authorized the acceptance of the equipment originally purchased back in 2017.

The automated parking system, designed to hold 10 cars, was intended for the inner courtyard of the City Hall on Khreshchatyk Street. However, the equipment was never installed, and over time, the structures rusted and were ultimately written off as scrap. Technically, the system had a projected lifespan of at least 15 years. This failure has led to significant financial damage to the capital's budget.

The criminal investigation into this matter is ongoing. It is known that in December 2025, the former director of the same Department was also notified of suspicion for official negligence. Furthermore, as part of separate anti-corruption probes, Ukraine's Security Service, National Police, and Prosecutor's Office have exposed the director of a communal enterprise under the Kyiv City Administration for taking bribes.

According to Kyiv City Council information, no suitable location for the structure was found in the City Hall courtyard, as underground utilities run beneath the site, making installation of the rotating garage impossible.
