According to Главком: In response to criticism from Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi regarding air defense effectiveness, the commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi, provided a detailed account. He stated that out of 556 drones launched in a recent Russian attack on the city, only 15 reached their targets, a success rate of 97% for the defenders. Brovdi emphasized that no air defense system in the world could achieve a 95-97% interception rate against such a massed drone assault, crediting the work of frontline troops and rear-echelon defenders. He urged against spreading panic and highlighted the relentless efforts of air defense personnel.

"It is not for me to give you advice. But nor is it for you to criticize those who shoot down drones day and night. Protect the people, talk less. And we will continue our work in the sky," Brovdi remarked.

Aftermath of the Lviv Strike

The Russian attack on Lviv left 32 people injured. Several residential buildings were damaged, including a nationally significant architectural monument at 3 Soborna Square in the Halytskyi district, where 17 apartments were hit. In the Sykhiv district, 19 apartment blocks were damaged, and a residential building on Chervona Kalyna Avenue, home to over 350 residents, suffered two direct hits, leaving it without power or gas. Over 1,300 windows were shattered in Sykhiv, and the architectural monument of the Bernardine Monastery complex was also damaged. Strikes were also recorded on critical infrastructure in the Komarnivska and Dobrosyn-Maherivska communities.

According to available information, not a single day in March saw fewer than one hundred drones launched by Russian forces, with the number exceeding 400-500 units on some days.
