According to Велика українська енциклопедія: Konstantin Hryhorovych Artemenko was a prominent actor and director who made a significant impact on Ukrainian arts. Born on February 25, 1925, in the village of Khomivka in the Zhytomyr region, he passed away on June 7, 2006, in Kyiv. His acting career began during his student years, with his first film role being a small part in I. Savchenko's 'Taras Shevchenko.' His long career spanned the Soviet and post-Soviet eras, reflecting a period of great change in Ukrainian culture.

Throughout his life, Konstantin Artemenko performed nearly 50 roles in theater and cinema. Notable among his stage performances were:

  • Savva in the adaptation of O. Kobylianska's 'The Land'
  • Andrii in V. Rozov's 'At the Right Time'

In film, he is best remembered for his portrayal of Todoryka in 'The Earth' (1954) and Husak (1996). Artemenko was also active in television series, including a role in 'The Bourgeois's Birthday' (1999).
